Each year, the Nyack Award Program identifies companies that we believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small businesses through service to their customers and our community. These exceptional companies help make the Nyack area a great place to live, work and play.
Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The Nyack Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Nyack Award Program and data provided by third parties.

Shari Porter, Broker/Owner of PRB, is a licensed RE Broker serving Rockland and surrounding counties. She is consistently a top producer, receiving local and national awards. She has 20+ years experience collectively in real estate-related industries, beginning in the nonprofit sector, where she was a Homeownership, Mortgage, and Foreclosure Prevention Counselor, as well as Grant Writer.
For many of her years serving the community, she led a housing rehab program and helped execute an energy efficiency program, focusing on underserved and senior communities. Her passion for real estate led her to become a Realtor in both NY and NJ. By marrying both nonprofit and for-profit worlds, Porter launched the “Do Good, Get Good” program, donating a percentage of every transaction towards helping a housing-related crisis. She’s also leading the movement in home protection, offering all clients free trainings on powerful, yet simple, techniques to defend themselves against a home intrusion.
